Established in the year 1926, as a small manufacturing unit by its founder Mr. Man Singh, Greysham started by manufacturing agricultural components and hand pumps, etc for the domestic market.

During World War II, Greysham joined the war effort in supplying semi rotary hand pumps for use in diesel and petrol tankers, under annual rate contract. At the end of the World War II Greysham had grown to a team of 60 employees. The company had firmly established itself as a preferred supplier to the British Government in India. Mr. Govind Singh, the present Chairman of Greysham International, joined the company in 1954, after graduating in Metallurgical Engineering from U.K.

Mr. Govind Singh then a young man of 23 years embarked on a mission to modernize the production facilities and developed and fabricated for the Indian Railways, the first prototype of the Railway vacuum brake system, which eventually would become the product champion of the company. Mr. Singh had established Greysham as a pragmatic, innovative proactive organization.

By 1968, Mr. Govind Singh had infused Greysham International with his distinctive style of management. Today after 38 years since its inception, Greysham International has matured into a dynamic organization that would look to build its future on the human and technological skills, of its people. Greysham International bagged its first export order in 1968 from Burma Railways for Vacuum Brake equipment.

The Highlight in the International markets came in 1980 when Greysham bagged an export order from UK to supply vacuum brake equipment for 575 wagons to Daewoo & Hyundai, South Korea, valued at more than USD $375,000.00 Today Greysham International is supplying Railway brake equipment like vacuum brakes, air brakes, brake regulators and spares for power coaches and locomotives to various customers around the world.

As of now, Greysham is attempting to refocus its core competencies; to emerge as a corporate engineer for the Railway's of the world. The R&D team at the company today is geared to leverage its technological expertise to develop new product lines for the Railways of the world.

Greysham International is now India's one of the leading Railway equipment manufacturer for Air Brakes, Vacuum Brakes, Slack Adjuster and Non - Asbestos Brake Blocks Type 'L' & 'K'. The manufacturing facilities created at Greysham International's plant at the industrial town of Ghaziabad in U.P. Boast of a modern machine shop consisting of CNC Machines, a machine shop which is equipped with lathes, drilling machines, radial drills, etc.., a modern cad/cam design center, R&D and Standards Room for chemical and physical analysis.

Also off late Greysham International has developed local expertise to source and cater to the international markets around the world for various engineering applications for the railways. Greysham International attempts to focus on the opportunities that arise with the advent of new technologies being developed, around the world, in a way that will enhance the competitiveness of its clients in the market place.

At Greysham International, we currently employ a large and dynamic work force covering Engineering Operations, Sales & Marketing, and CAD/CAM Design Operations and servicing operations.
